Also, I've gotten old
Erol* had a formula for calculating someone's "true age". It involved taking their actual age and adding some number of years if they owned a home, were married, and (especially) had kids. By that measure, I've been old for a very long time.
There is another, slightly more common formula for calculating someone's age. This method involves taking their actual age and adding nothing. By this measure, as of today, I am officially old.
* I was going to say "A friend of mine" or "Erol, a guy I worked with at Capital One". But I figured I was deluding myself into thinking that anyone reading this blog doesn't know who Erol is.

Erol will never be old enough... unlike some other people...
BTW did the formula include the number of cats you own?
then does it decrease ur age on any other the 7 life you have just added?
Even though it says posted Anonymous this is Suresh, lazy to create a username and passwrod. Eric, If you are old, then some of the others who read this blog are real hoary and could be from the jurassic era.
Nice house you have got. You have left a mark on earth!
Eric is officially old be Erol standards or non-erol standards. For those of you who forgot my age rating is as follows. Your "Acted Age" is:
Age + 2 (If you own a house) + 5 (If you are Married) + 5 (For each kid, max 2 kids. After that they are free...) + 1 (This is new, for each pet)
Let me know if you need some more "Erol Formulas"

51. Early retirement is closer than I thought. Thanks, Erol!
Preparation is worse than I thought. Thanks, Eric! That is...thanks for the mutual fund work that you do.
Please post more comments about Erol. Clearly, these are the most popular feature of your blog. Maybe you could post a picture of Erol in a bunny suit? But really, anything about Erol would be just great. Thanks.
